What We Do
So what exactly do we do at Retake?
It's pretty simple. We connect with people who have not only lose their homes or belongings, but also their most precious memories, keepsakes, and family heirlooms because of the horrible situations they have endured and offer to give them new photos that they can cherish as they rebuild their lives. We will meet with the survivors to hear their stories, learn about what kind of photos they lost, and come up a creative way to capture new memories. After, we give them both framed and digital copies. |
Sharing Your StoryThe first step is connecting with those who we will photograph. We partner with people and organizations who know those communities we can help. Once we meet, we have the opportunity to learn about their backgrounds and stories. This is also the time to develop what kind of photoshoot we will do with them.

Photoshoot TimeNow comes the fun part. Our photoshoots will never be the same thing twice. Each recipient of a shoot has their own unique ideas on what kind of memories they want to preserve. We get to be creative and empathetic. We will work around everyone's schedules to come up with the best time to have a quick and easy shoot.

Final Product DeliveryAfter the photoshoot, we sort through the images to find the best ones. We beautifully edit them. We have a set amount of photos we will frame (and all of that is discussed in our initial meeting), and the remainder of the edited images will be put on a USB so there are digital copies. Then comes one of the best parts: delivering the final product.
