Retake is a nonprofit that offers free photos and family portraits to people who have lost their homes and belongings due to disasters such as hurricanes, fires, or earthquakes, or to people who are from war-torn or conflict areas and are now refugees, immigrants, migrants, humanitarian parolees,
displaced people, or asylum seekers.
Our goal is to hear your stories, create a photoshoot that captures what's important to you, and deliver you new keepsakes as you rebuild your life. We want to create new family memories that you can pass down to future generations.
Retake teams up with people and organizations already
in place who are working with refugees, immigrants, and survivors
of disasters or wars to offer them free photos.
We communicate with those interested and set up a time to
come to that town or city. We meet with them, hear their stories,
have their unique photoshoot, edit and print the photos,
and deliver their new keepsakes to them.
